Editor -
Do you have an eye for grammar, spelling, congruency, and syntax?
Description:
Editor will be required to read manuscripts, correct grammatical mistakes, offer corrections, suggestions, and professional critiques to the author.
Editor should have technical proficiency in MS Word and knowledge of The Chicago Manual of Style.
Previous experience in editing is a plus but not required.
Duties:
• Rewrite some scenes to flow better
• Suggest alterations / make alterations
• Work one-on-one with the author
• Organize and maintain a priority list
• Edit for content, punctuation, line, and proofread
• Format per house guidelines and forward all final manuscripts to Managing Editor
Compensation:

Stage one 5% (Probation) |
8 ms required to complete probation |
Stage two 6% |
Once editor has completed 9 ms will increase to this rate and stage |
Stage three 7% |
Once editor has completed 16 ms will increase to this rate and stage |
Stage four 8% |
21 manuscripts, process continues |
Stage five 5% |
26 ms to increase to this stage, but process changes. 5% royalty + $15 paid |
Stage six 6% |
31 ms completed will increase to this rate and stage. 6% royalty + $15 |
